The Borderland 500 offers three challenging yet rewarding routes to cater to different levels of experience. Based on valuable feedback from 2024 riders, we’ve made some minor adjustments, particularly to the 500-mile route, to enhance the overall rider experience.

Where we came from...
Steve Morgan, twice a top ten finisher in the Pan Celtic Race, founded the UK Ultra-Cycle Challenge to share his passion for ultra cycling. He sought to create an inclusive event, welcoming both seasoned cyclists and newcomers. Incorporating local bike shops, Steve ensured expert support for every rider. His unique approach to the race features a staggered start, emphasising a collective finish, symbolising unity and perseverance. With advanced GPS tracking, participants enjoy a secure and immersive experience. This challenge is Steve’s tribute to the spirit of ultra cycling, inviting everyone to partake in this thrilling journey.
