Borderland 500 2025: Bigger, Better, and Back for More!
Building on the resounding success of our inaugural event, we’re thrilled to announce the return of the Borderland 500! This year, we’ve taken your valuable feedback to heart and made several exciting enhancements to ensure an even more unforgettable experience.
With the earliest start date being Wednesday 10th September 2025 and the goal being the finishers party on Saturday 13th September 2025, choose your distance and own start time to suit.
New and Improved:
- Enhanced Start/Finish Area: We’re moving to a brand new venue! WildconTentment is located perfectly. We also have the site for the entire duration of the event. Parking will located on the site and camping is available. This will create a more comfortable and convenient experience for everyone.
- New Checkpoint at Lake Vyrnwy: We’ve added an extra checkpoint close to Lake Vyrnwy. Dafarn Newydd stores will be open throughout the entire race, offering a welcome respite with hot food and drinks available for purchase. The friendly staff are very excited to be helping!!

- Expert Commentary: Dot watchers from across the lands were treated to some breath-taking commentary throughout the event, adding another layer of excitement and entertainment.
- Slightly Adjusted Routes: We’ve made minor adjustments to the routes to allow riders a touch more respite between some of the bigger climbs, ensuring a more balanced and enjoyable challenge.
